Exterior The 2014 Volvo S60 styling offers a distinct impression, thanks to its elegant looks and curves. The car is blessed with stunning looks and strong premium built, and it features a sleek front fascia that offers a perfect combination of elegance and sportiness. Compared to the previous model, the 2014 S60 features wider grille that accommodates pronounced Volvo badge, flanked by sleeker headlamps with integrated daytime running LEDs. The DRLs are positioned on the new bumper that features new black and chrome inserts. On sides, the vehicle looks sporty with raked roofline and strong shoulder line that gives its tail a curvy shape. At the back, the sedan has boomerang shaped tail lights and bold VOLVO lettering embossed in the centre. The exhaust pipe is finished in chrome. Interior The Volvo S60 sedan is one of the most luxurious and spacious cars in its league. The ergonomically designed front and rear seats features side supports and padding, while the drivers seat comes with step-less lumbar support. Its three spoke steering wheel is covered in leather and features audio controls and paddle shifters. Engine & Transmission The Volvo S60 sedan is available with two diesel engine options - 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre. The former is capable of producing 181bhp of power at 4250rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1750rpm, while the 2.4L unit is good for 215bhp of power at 4000rpm and 440Nm of torque at 1500rpm. While the 2.0-litre motor is paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox, the 2.4L diesel engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic motor driving the power to front wheels. Performance & Handling The Volvo S60 with a 2.0L diesel unit crosses 0-100kmph in less than 10 seconds, while the more powerful unit takes just 8 seconds to achieve 0-100kmph. The engine delivers power in a linear manner. There is a slight lag, which is negligible and NVH levels inside the cabin are excellent.
